International Shipping Terms & Conditions
Welcome to uksoftwaretech.co.uk! If you're ordering products for delivery outside of the mainland UK, these international shipping terms and conditions apply. Here’s what you need to know:
1. Compliance with Laws
When you order from uksoftwaretech.co.uk, ensure you’re following all the laws and regulations of the destination country. It’s your responsibility to make sure your products can be legally imported into the destination country.
2. Transfer of Title and Risk
Once we hand your products to the first carrier outside the country of importation, the title and risk of loss are transferred to you.
3. Import Fees
Products shipped outside the mainland UK might incur taxes, customs duties, and other fees. You’re responsible for these Import Fees. We’ll estimate these fees and collect a deposit at checkout. By placing your order, you authorize us to collect this deposit.
You’re also responsible for the import clearance of the products unless local laws require someone else to do it. If so, you authorize us to appoint an importer of record. We may also appoint a carrier to act on your behalf with customs and tax authorities, handle import fees, and process any amendments or refunds. The deposit will cover these actual import fees.
We’ll disclose the actual import fees to you. If the deposit is more than the actual fees, we’ll refund the difference. If the actual fees are higher, you won’t be charged extra. For details, contact the carrier listed in your shipment confirmation.
4. Gifts
If you’re sending a gift, you agree to handle all necessary authorizations and import fees on behalf of the recipient. Gifts will be marked as such, but the product cost may still be included on customs forms.
5. Taxes
We may collect taxes on international orders, including value-added, goods and services, and sales taxes. For more details, please refer to our VAT & Invoices section.
6. Limitations
Please note the following for international shipments:
- Manufacturer warranties might not be valid.
- Service options from the manufacturer may not be available.
- Product manuals and safety warnings might not be in the local language.
- Products may not meet local standards and labelling requirements.
- Products might not conform to local voltage and electrical standards (an adapter or converter may be needed).

7. Privacy
We may share order, shipment, and product information with carriers, who might disclose this information to customs and tax authorities. International shipments can be inspected by customs. Review our Privacy Notice to understand how we handle your personal information.
8. Returns and Handling Charges
If you decide to return an item, you are responsible for the return shipping costs. If you refuse the item or don’t pay the required fees on arrival, we’ll deduct any handling charges from your refund.
