Spider-Man 2: the game event unveils a new trailer as spectacular as it is surprising

The blockbuster of the year on PS5 arrives in three short months. Taking advantage of Comic-Con, the next Insomniac Games has released the big game.

Technical prowess, spectacular scenes and above all details of the scenario have made this special trailer one of the first big events of the SDCC, the Comic-Con which is currently being held in San Diego. In the absence of face-to-face Marvel Studios, usually irremovable from their famous hall H, it was Spider-Man 2 who tried to partially fill this void.

Effectively, he unveiled part of his scenario and prepared a few surprises in what will be the next big PlayStation 5 exclusive. Characters, antagonists, plot, but also subtleties of gameplay have raised the hype around one of the most anticipated games of this end of the year.

From its opening, the trailer presents Peter Parker in the company of Harry Osborn, determined to change the world. Spider-Man and his now sidekick Miles Morales will have to face many torments, with the arrival in New York of Kraven the hunter (soon to be the hero of his own film) and the discovery of the symbiote, which, inevitably, will lead to the incarnation of a new Venom.

With a sensational appearance, the villain, voiced by horror cinema legend Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination), author of a small blunder earlier in the year, promises to be the major attraction of this sequel, as rich in terms of scriptwriting as it is playful.

Because far from relying on its only big references to comics, Spider-Man 2 will also offer a more beautiful and larger playground, with the addition of “forgotten” New York areas in the first part. A faster movement system, which will be based on the Web Wings, or an enriched combo system will also be part of the major novelties.

Finally, Sony also took the opportunity to unveil a collector's console, and, at the same time, revealed a very good idea on the sidelines of this traditional marketing, with a simple shell sold separately allowing owners of the machine to change its look at little cost. A kind of symbiote for PS5, it couldn't be more appropriate to celebrate the release of the event game on October 20th.
